New Dance Sounds: Jack Back, Dannic, Mako + More

Another week, another stacked release Friday. We’ve been gifted new music from David Guetta’s underground alias, a bubbly new album from Galantis, a heavy hitter from Will Sparks and many more seriously good releases that you can see and listen to below!

Jack Back & Tom Staar – Body Beat [Toolroom]

David Guetta’s underground alias Jack Back aligns with Tom Staar for ‘Body Beat’, a brilliant house production with groovy vocals. After his album in 2018 and several singles in 2019 – this is Jack Back’s first track of 2020.

Dannic – Beatroot (Dannic’s Bigroom Edit) [Rave Culture]

Dannic debuts on W&W’s Rave Culture with ‘Beatroot’. Dannic has ventured with singles on his own imprint Fonk, mostly in the groovy big room style. ‘Beatroot’ seems like a perfect cross between his bigroom sound and his more melody focused progressive – which makes it Dannic’s best release in a while!

Mako & Elephante – Chameleon [Ultra]

After Mako turned from a duo to solo act, his music also changed to focus more on pop. ‘Chameleon’ brings it back to Mako’s dance roots thanks to talent Elephante. There is also a version of ‘Chameleon’ which is credited as only Mako; which results in a toned down more acoustic version without Elephante’s influence. You’re sure to love either!

Justin Mylo feat. Raphaella – I Wanna Fall In Love [STMPD]

Justin Mylo returns to good friend Martin Garrix’s STMPD imprint for his newest release alongside Raphaella. With strong vocals and a fresh take on Justin’s signature bouncey house sound – we’ve fallen in love with this one.

EDX – Adore Me [PinkStar]

With an underground approach to his sound, together with standout vocals – this is yet again another impressive release from the Swiss artist. After an awesome couple of years release wise, we cannot wait to see what EDX does in 2020.

Dave Winnel feat. Lyonheart – Spark [Armada]

After a bunch of strong releases, Dave Winnel returns for another. Teaming up with Lyonheart, ‘Spark’ brings a groovy sound that follows with vocals of the same pedigree. With some killer melodies and a calming approach to the production, this is getting us excited for even more Winnel music!

Curbi feat. Helen – Feel [Spinnin’]

Curbi’s previous approach to house music was quite hardcore, with massive drops that work well in the club. ‘Feel’ sees him take a more melodic pop approach with creative vocal chops from Helen and an overall solid production. We want to see this again from the British producer!

Mat Zo feat. GQ – The Next Chapter [Anjunabeats]

Released in the Anjunabeats Worldwide 09 compilation, Mat Zo’s ‘The Next Chapter’ now sees its individual release. This dark trance record is awesome, the chords and melodies are perfect. Whilst it may sound similar to UMEK – Percussionix (Mix 2), it’s still an awesome sound that we need to hear more.

TheFatRat feat. Maisy Kay – The Storm [The Arcadium]

Music YouTube sensation TheFatRat today releases his next single together with Maisy Kay. ‘The Storm’ features Turkish flute as it’s focus point, that builds into a pleasent drop. Maisy Kay’s vocals are sung in Na’vi, the language from the movie Avatar. Unique in itself, they’re also a standout in the track and tie everything together nicely.

Purple Disco Machine – In My Arms [Club Sweat]

Purple Disco Machine has once again meticulously crafted a funky, dance-floor ready classic. Filled with lush piano chords, synth stabs and an undeniable disco flavour, the esteemed house producer once again unleashed a solid record to the house world.

LOOPERS – Groove Police [STMPD]

‘Groove Police’ is LOOPERS latest venture through STMPD which sees him put a fresh twist on his sound. The massive build drop into a grungy futuristic bounce sound. Another solid production from the Dutch artist.

DNF – I’m Back [CYB3RPVNK]

Polish start up DNF is back on CYB3RPVNK for the third time but his first solo outing on the label. ‘I’m Back’ is a big-room influenced club record, perfectly fitting the label’s sound and label boss R3HAB’s sets.
