Remix Radar 013: Featuring Wiwek, MEDUZA, and Lastlings

Welcome to this week’s Remix Radar! Can you believe it’s the last day of July? Crazy how the summer has been flying by! To keep the good spirits rolling, the 13th Edition promises blistering beats and insatiable grooves, featuring Wiwek, MEDUZA, and Lastlings. Prepare yourself, it’s about to get wild!

CORSAK and Robinson – GLOW (Wiwek Remix)

One of the freshest remixes of the last 6 months, Wiwek brings the heat on his “Glow” remix. Utilizing panflutes and searing percussion, Wiwek weaves a daring hybrid dance track that doesn’t quite fit any genre standard. The best way to describe it is melodic DnB with a splice of Wiwek’s standard jungle-ness.

Sofi Tukker and Bomba Estéreo – Playa Grande (Sinego Remix)

The Latin spiced “Playa Grande” receives a future house remix by Sinego. The rising Mexican producer focuses the remix around a bouncy beat and the sexy vocals provided by Sophie and Bomba Estéreo.

RÜFÜS DU SOL – Solace (Lastings Remix)

One of RÜFÜS DU SOL’s second signing to their Rose Avenue Records, sibling duo, Lastlings provide a saucy remix of “Solace”. The remix transforms “Solace” into a sinister dance vibe. Amy of Lastlings also provides a nice vocal harmonization to add an extra tidbit.

Hayden James Ft. NAATIONS – Nowhere To Go (Dom Dolla Remix)

Dom Dolla is a genius producer and it shows with his spin on Hayden James’s “Nowhere To Go”. The remix is highly contagious in that it induces dance paralysis, aka you won’t stop dancing. Dom’s arrangement of NAATIONS’ vocals will be stuck in your head for days on days.

Bob Moses – Nothing But You (DJ Tennis Remix)

Bob Moses’ “Nothing But You” receives a second stellar remix, this time from DJ Tennis. The remix is a funky, yet atmospheric spin that takes listeners floating across its soundscape.

RITUAL with Emily Warren – Using (MEDUZA Remix)

As we await the next MEDUZA single, his remix of “Using” will have to satisfy our craving. The sizzling producer makes further inroads into dance music by conjuring his wizardry to construct RITUAL’s “Using” into a vibrant club track.

Hot Chip – Melody of Love (Adelphi Music Factory)

Hot Chip’s infectious “Melody of Love” receives an acid-infused remix by Adelphi Music Factory. The remix radiates wondrous vibes that will send troves of people to the dancefloor.

Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano – Yeke Yeke (Chus & Ceballos Remix)

Renowned for their DJ sets, Chus & Ceballos create an enigmatic progressive house track out of the rhythmic and tribal musings of Sunnery James and Ryan Marciano’s “Yeke Yeke”.

Cheat Codes with Kaskade – Be The One (Danny Quest Remix)

Danny Quest provides an intoxicating house remix with sizzling sound design that flips Cheat Codes and Kaskade’s “Be The One” into a satisfying club track.

Needs No Sleep – 6 In The Morning (SODF Remix)

SODF brings the punches with his boisterous tech house remix of Australian’s merchant of darkness, Needs No Sleep. It’s a tasty banger destined to be caffeine for the senses.

ONE FROM THE VAULT

Skrillex – Dirty Vibe (DJ Snake & Aazar Remix)

In honor of DJ Snake’s new album, Carte Blanche, as well as, the recent release of Skrillex’s EP, I bring forward the spicy “Dirty Vibe” remix. One of DJ Snake’s first remixes, it was apart of the initial wave that sent Snake flying into the conscience of EDM listeners. He combines wonderfully with a relative newcomer for the time, Aazar. Overall, this remix was a tiny preview of what was coming for Snake and Aaazar.
