Boasting an alluring voice and unique genre-fusing style, Robbi Niles has returned with his latest single, “Havana”. The track opens with dreamy synths and echoes that set the tone for the rest of it. Only a few seconds go by before Robbi’s breathtaking vocals are introduced. They are complemented by a seamless mixture of soulful Afrobeats and Afro house. Throughout “Havana”, beautiful melodies and soothing effects are woven in as well.
On top of its calming, tropical vibes, “Havana” has a deeper purpose than just its auditory presence. Sharing his thoughts on the release, Robbi explains, “sometimes the best music is created when it is not planned. The idea for this song was born at an impromptu writing session for another project I was working on. After I had created the sample, I left it for approximately three weeks until I was sure which music direction I wanted to pursue.” Robbi shows his patience and creativity during the process of making this song.
As infectious as “Havana” is, it is far from the first musical achievement by Robbi. Growing up on the island of Barbados, Robbi dove into music at just three years old. Over the years, he expanded his skill sets. Fast-forward to today and Robbi is a high-level guitarist, lyricist, producer, and composer. Judging by “Havana”, the future looks bright for this rising artist.
