A24 Music has released OPUS: The Moretti EP, a three-song collection from the film Opus, now available on streaming platforms and the A24 Shop. The EP features original songs performed by John Malkovich, written and composed by Nile Rodgers and The-Dream.
The previously released single Dina, Simone marked Malkovich’s first official release as a vocalist. The other two tracks, 35mm and Tomorrow, continue the project’s themes—35mm reflecting on Moretti’s excess and indulgence, while Tomorrow serves as the EP’s closing ballad.
Opus follows a young writer (Ayo Edebiri) who is invited to the remote compound of a legendary pop star (John Malkovich) who disappeared 30 years earlier. Surrounded by the star’s devoted followers and intoxicated journalists, she becomes caught up in his elaborate plan. The film also stars Juliette Lewis, Murray Bartlett, Amber Midthunder, Stephanie Suganami, Young Mazino, and Tatanka Means. Like the EP, the movie is out now.
