Broken Record Podcast Co-hosted by Rick Rubin Returns For Season 3: Andre3000, Tyler The Creator, Black Keys & More

The Broken Record Podcast returns for season 3 this week, if you haven’t tuned in it’s a must-listen interview series for music lovers. The depth of knowledge available to artists, songwriters and music fanatics is unparalleled. Previous guests have included Eminem, Rufus Wainwright, Questlove, Nile Rogers, and Chic.

It’s brought to us by Pushkin and hosted by some of the greatest minds in music including legendary producer Rick Rubin, bestselling author Malcolm Gladwell, and former New York Times editor Bruce Headlam. In addition show producer Justin Richmond joins as the fourth co-host and the weekly presenter this season.

Broken Record promises to offer listeners a peek at never before heard songs from some of today’s top artists, as well as behind the scenes stories from the esteemed music producers, and authentic insightful interviews with top singer/songwriters.

Guests in season 3 include Tyler the Creator, Yola, Bon Iver, The Black Keys, Andre 3000, Rex OC, Brittany Howard, Jason Isbell, The XX, Wyclef Jean, Kenny Beats, and XL Recordings founder Richard Russell. This week kicked off the Season’s first episode with Jack White & the Raconteurs. They discuss collaborating with Jay Z, why the collaboration didn’t work, and how they recycled it for a solo recording, plus a whole lot more!

The next episode is due for release Tuesday and will feature an interview with Tyler The Creator where he discusses his sound, the way he listens and interprets music. He also jams to his own songs on the Piano at Rubin’s Italian home in a rare moment as he recounts the structure of the best songs on his album Igor.
