David Guetta & Marten Hørger Unleash New Era with ‘MEN MACHINE’ EP

Electronic music titan David Guetta has joined forces with German house innovator Marten Hørger to drop their highly anticipated collaborative project, the ‘MEN MACHINE’ EP. The five-track record marks the first official joint venture for the long-time friends, born out of a mutual desire to step away from current club trends and focus entirely on musical freedom.

While the EP has only just officially landed, the music has already undergone extensive global road-testing. Guetta has been teasing key tracks like ‘Engage’ featuring Vitalic and ‘The Past, The Present, The Future’ since mid-2025. The records became instant standouts during his Ibiza residency, with early crowd reactions at UNVRS Ibiza hinting at the massive club energy to come. The pair finally gave the project its official live debut last month at Coachella, where Hørger made a surprise appearance during Guetta’s set on the Quasar Stage to showcase the new material, sparking an electric reaction from the festival crowd.

Sonically, the ‘MEN MACHINE’ EP represents a distinct shift for Guetta. The project draws heavy inspiration from the ’90s electroclash movement, seamlessly blending electro, new wave, synth-pop nostalgia and driving techno rhythms into a package tailored for the mainstage. While the electronic music scene is currently experiencing a broader shift toward harder-edged dance music, this project feels less like a trend-chasing pivot and more like a natural evolution that the duo have been meticulously crafting behind the scenes.

This is not Guetta’s first time redefining mainstage sounds through a dedicated collaborative project. In 2019, he launched Future Rave alongside MORTEN, a concept that successfully bridged the gap between underground club culture and festival-scale production. With ‘MEN MACHINE’, Guetta and Hørger look set to replicate that impact, offering a fresh, nostalgia-infused perspective on the future of the scene.
