EXIT and P+US Announce Starlight Festival at the Pyramids of Giza

EXIT, the three-time winner of the European Best Major Festival award, is set to bring its world-renowned festival experience to Egypt this October. The newly announced Starlight Festival is a multi-day event taking place from October 8th to 11th near the Great Pyramids of Giza, produced in collaboration with Venture Lifestyle and its electronic music platform, P+US.

The festival will feature an impressive lineup of international and regional talent, spearheaded by Charlotte de Witte, who will be delivering an exclusive first-ever performance in Egypt. Joining her is Michael Bibi, making his debut appearance at the pyramids, alongside melodic techno star Adriatique, who returns to the historic location following a highly successful previous show that drew nearly 10,000 attendees. The program also highlights performances from Vintage Culture, Pete Tong, WhoMadeWho, and Enrico Sangiuliano, among many others.

Positioned against the backdrop of the desert sands near one of ancient history’s most significant landmarks, Starlight aims to connect the global electronic music community within a landscape defined by thousands of years of heritage. The event will showcase one of the most robust electronic lineups the region has seen to date.

While the festival is located near the pyramids, organisers have confirmed it will not be staged directly on the monument grounds. Instead, the area will serve as a monumental backdrop from a specifically designated location developed in accordance with the site’s historical importance and protected status.

Reflecting on the announcement, Dušan Kovačević, founder and CEO of EXIT Festival, stated: “It is a great honour to be invited to bring the premium festival concept near one of the grandest monuments in human history. EXIT has always been about breaking boundaries and connecting people through music in unique settings, and the Pyramids of Giza represent the ultimate historical intersection for such a celebration. We are dedicated to creating an unforgettable experience that respects the majesty of this incredible location while providing a platform for some of the most exciting artists in electronic music today.”
