2022 is already shaping up to be one hell of a year, because today, we’ve got fresh music from Flume in the shape of ‘Say Nothing’. Having teased the track across his socials frequently in recent weeks, the Sydney-born DJ & producer has today unveiled the single, featuring the incredible vocal talents of MAY-A. Already amassing more than 15 million Spotify streams on her 2021 album ‘Don’t Kiss Ur Friends’, MAY-A is one of the industry’s most sought-after vocalists and certainly doesn’t disappoint here, teaming up with the dynamic GRAMMY-winner on the eclectic and vibrant new track. Featuring that classic stripped-back signature style which Flume has become universally renowned for, the record showcases the Australian’s unique synthwave-led beats and precedes an exciting year on the horizon.
Alongside the single, Flume detailed his upcoming album Palaces, set to drop May 20th. The album features a diverse range of artists from rising stars like Caroline Polachek, to established tastemakers like Damon Albarn. Teasing us with a forthcoming ‘Psychedelic’ collaboration with Damon Albarn of the Gorillaz in early 2022, it would appear that the much-loved producer has been working away hard in the studio during lockdown, and after he revealed that a new album is in the pipeline too, we can safely assume he is now ready to bless us with a flurry of fresh tunes heading deeper into this year and beyond.
