Aquarius III compiles unreleased material from Ultra 85 sessions, offering fans a satisfying bridge before the arrival of Phonkadelic. The EP opens with “This Is the Way,” which flips Paul Wall’s “Sittin’ Sidewayz” into a laid-back banger courtesy of in-house producer 6. Logic reflects on his passion for rap, vowing to continue until his final days. “French Dispatch” is a groovier, self-produced track where Logic highlights his three loves: music, family, and film. The playful “Not a Game” critiques the shifting dynamics of the rap industry, while “Universe” combines a nocturnal beat with lyrics about financial success and emotional weight. Closing the project, “A Message From My Younger Self” is a heartfelt spoken word piece recorded back in 2011, tying the EP to Logic’s roots.
