The rumour mill has started to swirl into overtime following a new Instagram post from Martin Garrix & Ed Sheeran, where the pair posted a photo of themselves together in the modern day, alongside the ‘Repeat’ emoji. The post looks set to act as a teaser for the forthcoming release of their hugely popular collaboration ‘Rewind, Repeat It’, which was first created all the way back in 2014.
Dropping the ID during his Ultra Music Festival 2015 set in Miami, fans clamoured for the release, but Garrix later cited “label issues and a lot of headaches” as to why the track failed to see the light of day with an official release. However, that’s all changed recently, with Martin himself dropping the eyes emoji on a recent Reddit discussion about the release, before the pair uploaded this photo to socials.
In a recent interview, the Dutch DJ added plans for his latest album, remarking: “Next year, I’m gonna drop my new album and I’ve been working on this album with all my biggest idols.” In September of this year, Ed Sheeran also told reporters that he expects his new album, titled ‘Rewind’, to be released “within the next two months”.
