Michael Bibi & KETTAMA Sample Wu-Tang Clan on New Single ‘MYSTERY OF RAW’

One of the underground dance scene’s most sought-after unreleased records has finally arrived. Michael Bibi and KETTAMA have officially secured clearance from the legendary Wu-Tang Clan for the release of ‘MYSTERY OF RAW’.

The track’s journey began in 2018 when KETTAMA sent an early version to Michael Bibi. It quickly evolved into a cult favourite on dancefloors worldwide, becoming a highly requested ID that fans would desperately search for after hearing it at global festivals. Built around a sample of ‘Da Mystery of Chessboxin”, a track produced by The RZA featuring iconic verses from U-God and Inspectah Deck, the original concept was recently updated. In 2024, Michael Bibi reimagined the track alongside KETTAMA, giving the timeless Wu-Tang vocal a fresh perspective for modern clubs.

The track arrives with the formal support and approval of the Wu-Tang Clan. While essentially a sample clearance, the hip-hop icons threw their full backing behind the record – even having them credited on the record.

‘MYSTERY OF RAW’ is released via CircoLoco Records, the ongoing label partnership between club brand CircoLoco and Rockstar Games. Michael Bibi’s close ties with the CircoLoco family were instrumental in bringing this organic dancefloor hit to an official release. Given Rockstar’s direct involvement in championing forward-thinking club music, one cannot help but wonder if this massive anthem might eventually blast through the digital airwaves of a certain highly anticipated upcoming game. With Grand Theft Auto VI on the horizon, fans might just find themselves cruising the streets of Leonida with this track setting the ultimate vibe.
