Pegassi Drops Debut EP ‘Ascension’ via His Own Sweet Nothing Label

Belgian DJ and producer Pegassi has released his debut EP. Titled ‘Ascension’, the four-track project arrives today, September 4, via his own Sweet Nothing label. The release marks a major career milestone and serves as the culmination of 14 years of dedication to his craft.
The producer has rapidly become a dominant force in the new wave of European rave music. He has spent the year ticking off major bucket list moments, including a BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix and the premiere of his custom AV show at Tomorrowland 2026. This adds to a stacked resume of performances at Awakenings and EDC Las Vegas, alongside viral success with heavy hitting tracks like ‘227kg’, ‘Yoyoyo’, and ‘Spectral Bells’.
“This EP has been a long time coming. Every track on it means something different to me, some of them you’ve heard in my sets, some of them you’ve never heard at all. ‘Ascension’ felt like the right name for it. It’s where I am right now, and where I’m going”. – Pegassi
Instead of playing it completely safe for his debut EP, Pegassi ventures into new sonic territory. The project closes with ‘Circles’, an intimate cut that features the producer writing and recording his own vocals for only the second time.
The rest of the record is built for the club. A fan favourite well before its official release, the title track ‘Ascension’ has been heavily tested in his live sets for over two years. It combines driving hard dance bass with UK garage style hi-hats and a robotic vocal hook. ‘Forest Walk’ pushes the tempo to 148 BPM, pairing a slightly distorted kick with a soaring arpeggio and sharp male vocal chops to keep the momentum moving forward. Rounding out the tracklist is ‘Twinflame’, a high energy hypnotic anthem designed to capture the rush of touring over the summer.
Pegassi is now taking this new chapter on the road, with upcoming Sweet Nothing label showcases scheduled for London, Berlin, and Amsterdam.
