The production process behind the iconic 2015 Avicii album, ‘Stories’, has now been released on the official Avicii YouTube channel. The three-part mini-series is designed to give fans an insight into Tim Bergling‘s craftsmanship with the first episode focusing on how he created hit single, ‘For A Better Day’. The 20-minute footage shows Tim in deep discussion with singer Alex Ebert as the pair work their way through the origins of the track, ad-libbing on lyrics and tweaking the melody until the track reached the final stages of production.
With two further episodes set to follow in future weeks, the footage will include interviews with album collaborators, Wyclef Jean and Gavin DeGraw. Produced by Pophouse Entertainment and the Avicii Estate, the documentary shows never-before-seen glimpses into the footage captured in Los Angeles between 2014 and 2015. With Episode Two set to drop Thursday 4th December, and the third and final instalment arriving on Thursday 1st January, the mini-series is a welcome addition to Avicii fans, who were forced to deal with the tragic death of their hero in April 2018.
You can watch the first episode below, celebrating the 10th anniversary of the ‘Stories’ album:
