Music producer benny blanco and rapper/comedian Lil Dicky (Dave Burd), joined by Dave’s new wife Kristin Batalucco, have officially launched a unique new video podcast titled ‘Friends Keep Secrets’.
The pilot episode premiered today, introducing viewers to a format that reimagines the traditional podcast structure. Produced by Jay Shetty’s Perfect Strangers, the show is set to release weekly episodes featuring a high-profile lineup of guests. The confirmed roster for the first season includes Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Gwyneth Paltrow, Meta AI chief Alexandr Wang, Kai Cenat, Paul Rudd, Kevin Gates, Kenny G and Bethenny Frankel.
‘Friends Keep Secrets’ distinguishes itself by moving away from the standard studio interview setup. Instead, the production utilises more than 18 cameras rigged throughout Dave and Kristin’s home in Venice, California. The show aims to capture an intimate, “fly on the wall” atmosphere centred on the authentic connection between the three hosts. Rather than adhering to a rigid interview script, the trio and their guests move freely through the house. The format is described as a groundbreaking blend of podcast, livestream and sitcom, allowing the natural flow of conversation to dictate the action.
Viewers can expect to see the hosts and guests engaging in everyday activities such as cooking, recording music, playing games or simply relaxing in the living space. The concept is designed to make the audience feel as though they are hanging out with friends rather than watching a formal broadcast. ‘Friends Keep Secrets’ is available now on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and all major podcast platforms.
