Ramengvrl & SIHK Drop ‘Quarantine & Chill’ A Lockdown PSA About Avoiding Corona Virus

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread, governments worldwide are recommending varying measures to prevent the continued spread. In Indonesia however, a country with a population of more than 250 million people and rising cases there are only recommendations to stay home and many people still risking exposure and heading out to bars, clubs and malls. So two of the countries biggest musical talents – Ramengvrl & SIHK who’ve themselves cancelled all upcoming gigs and been locked inside making music have stepped up to drop their own PSA song “Quarantine & Chill” to remind any of those ignoring the warnings from around the world that staying home isn’t all that bad.

On the track, Ramengvrl drops infectious bars that anyone considering or currently going through quarantine can relate to. Ramengvrls’ previous official releases have seen her clock up tens of millions of streams, her hit song CA$HMERE won her the award for Best Hip Hop Song during the 2019 Indonesian Music Awards. She was also featured in a video from Netflix’s “Rhythm & Flow” in which the judges, Chance The Rapper, Cardi B and T.I were seen reacting to her style and sound last year.

The production for this PSA was provided by none other than SIHK. An artist known for producing fellow Indonesian Rich Brian‘s “Who That Be”, as well as NIKI‘s debut single “See U Never” both of which were released on 88 Rising, as well as a solid string of his own heaving bass sounds through Yellow Claw‘s imprint Barong Family. Among his past collaborations include Aazar, Mike Cervello and featuring on Marshmello & Wiwek‘s “Angklung Life”.

While this isn’t an official release, it’s still something we could all start the party at home with while we Quarantine & Chill. Take a listen to the track below and share it with your friends!
