The Vine Global Impact Foundation will hold its MOSAIC event at the historic Royaumont Abbey in France this October. MOSAIC, scheduled for October 26-27, 2024, aims to unite humanity through technology and the arts.
This two-day summit will gather thinkers from across the globe to encourage dialogue and teamwork at the intersection of technology, art, and global impact. “The event’s goal is to support technology and art education programs for disadvantaged children through partnerships with esteemed organizations, including Playing for Change,” says Founder Adria L. From Medieval Monastery to Modern Summit
Royaumont Abbey, the host venue for MOSAIC, has a rich history spanning nearly 800 years. Founded in 1228 by King Louis IX, the abbey was one of the wealthiest monasteries in northern France during the Middle Ages. After facing partial demolition during the French Revolution, Royaumont Abbey saw new life in the early 20th century when the Goüin family purchased and began restoring it.
In 1964, the establishment of the Royaumont Foundation changed the abbey into a cultural center dedicated to artistic and intellectual pursuits. Today, the location serves as an international center for musicians and dancers, a venue for concerts and exhibitions, and a site for academic conferences and seminars.
The well-preserved cloister, extensive gardens, and restored monastic buildings of Royaumont Abbey will provide an inspiring backdrop for the discussions. “To this end, the event will feature panel sessions with global thought leaders and experts in artificial intelligence (AI), digital transformation, and the future of the creative economy,” Dunn shares.
Notable speakers include Valentino Catricalà, a scholar studying the relationship between artists and new technologies, and Stephen Ibaraki, a venture capitalist and founder of the United Nations (UN) International Telecommunication Union (ITU) AI for Good Global Summit.
MOSAIC will also include an art exhibition featuring works from well-known artists, such as Marcel Van Luit, known for his modern surrealist pieces, and live performances by celebrated musicians such as Nessi Gomes and Axelle Saint-Cirel.
