Fast-rising pop starlet Tessa Violet tapped pop band sensation Lovelytheband for a re-work of 2019’s Bad Ideas cut “Games.” Today, the pair dropped a brand-new music video inspired by the famed Twilight movie baseball scene.
Taking cues from the film, Tessa appears showing off her spot-on impression of vampire Alice’s fast pitch, while Lovelytheband perfectly embody their roles as a certain evil vampire trio. Keep an eye out for a hilarious cameo from Carlisle Cullen himself, Peter Facinelli.
“Games” originally appeared as a solo track on Violet’s debut record Bad Ideas, but Lovelytheband make a nice addition to an already catchy tune. The song and story feel more fleshed out and the duo’s musical chemistry is undeniable. The all-star collab was first birthed from Tessa and the band’s planned 2020 tour, cancelled due to the pandemic. The single survived and we couldn’t be happier.
