Meet Wuki: Grammy-nominated producer and DJ, also known as Kris Barman. Since setting foot in the music scene in 2012, the multi-genre musician has proven himself capable of achieving success in multiple categories. The artist’s ability to merge genres and mix breaks, booty, house and electro into high-yielding bangers, has catalyzed 45 million social streams to date. Just in time for the release of his upcoming album ‘WukiWorld,’ we were able to absorb where Wuki’s passion for music originated.

“Here are a bunch of random songs that helped shape me as a musician. When I first started playing music, I learned the guitar at a young age and was influenced by music from Alice In Chains and Green Day. I was very into Emo in my teenage years and would listen to a lot of Jimmy Eat World or Get Up Kids. All of these musical styles from artists I looked up to in my early years contributed to my own sound as part of the rock band Innerpartysystem. Leading into my early 20s, I got into more experimental music / funky music with artists like Primus or George Clinton and dance music artists like Daft Punk, Prodigy, and Chemical Brothers. These groups really helped me fall in love with electronic music!” – Wuki
