The worlds of electronic music and esports are set to collide as Riot Games has enlisted multidisciplinary artist Anyma as a co-creative director for the 2025 League of Legends Worlds Opening Ceremony in China.
The DJ and producer, celebrated for his visually groundbreaking live shows, will bring his expertise in merging technology, art, and music to the global event. Anyma is set to provide visual direction for ACT III of the ceremony, working to bring the League of Legends universe of Runeterra to life. This collaboration follows a series of high-profile events for Anyma, including a sold-out residency at Sphere Las Vegas and a landmark show at the Pyramids of Giza.
In addition to his co-creative direction, Anyma will also take the stage to perform the Worlds 2025 Anthem, ‘Sacrifice’, alongside the track’s original artist, Chinese superstar G.E.M.
Anyma explained: “I’ve been an avid gamer all my life, so headlining Worlds 2025 is a real honor. The live performance of ‘Sacrifice’ will mark a unique fusion of one of China’s most powerful voices with one of the world’s most innovative live performers.
The Opening Ceremony will also feature performances from Austrian singer and songwriter TEYA. She will be joined by Chrissy Costanza, a long-time League of Legends collaborator beloved by fans for her vocals on the iconic 2017 anthem, ‘Legends Never Die’.
Riot Games aims for this year’s ceremony to push new boundaries by uniting its globally recognised IP with Anyma’s visionary artistry, cementing Worlds as a premier cultural event.
