Deadmau5 Inks Global Deal with IAG to Relaunch Coffee Run and Expand Digital Ventures

Global electronic music icon deadmau5 (Joel Zimmerman) has officially signed with Independent Artist Group (IAG) for worldwide representation. The strategic partnership focuses heavily on expanding his intellectual property across film, television, gaming and technology, signalling a major new phase in his career beyond traditional recording and touring.
Central to this crossover strategy is the highly anticipated relaunch of his popular Coffee Run digital series. The programme features Zimmerman taking candid car rides to grab coffee while chatting with notable guests. Past episodes have hosted high-profile figures such as Pharrell Williams, Skrillex, Tommy Lee, Zedd and Dillon Francis. The revived show is slated to serve as the anchor for a much broader push into original digital content.
Beyond streaming content, IAG will pursue fresh opportunities for Zimmerman’s emerging tech and gaming properties. Key ventures include his video game studio, Oberhasli Games, and Auto/Pilot, an innovative live-performance software platform designed for creative mixing, real-time arrangement, sampling and automation.
Zimmerman noted that IAG’s proven track record of creating crossover content and ownership opportunities aligned perfectly with his vision as his business continues to evolve. The agency aims to further position him at the intersection of music, technology and content.
While aggressively expanding his digital footprint, Zimmerman remains active in the music scene. Following his massive 25-year retrospective concerts, he recently released the 2026 vocal single ‘Science’, which hit number one at US Dance Radio, and continues to develop new live concepts through both his main project and his techno alias TESTPILOT.
