It was the dream we all harboured… And now, the fantasy is set to become a reality as Swedish House Mafia have announced the addition of Eric Prydz to their set at Ultra Music Festival in Miami. What started out as a b2b between Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso at Bayfront Park has rapidly snowballed with the Swedish duo adding a range of special guests in recent days, including Axwell, so that the trio will once again become SHM on a stage which is so iconic to them for many reasons (2013 farewell set, 2018 reunion set, etc).
Swedish House Mafia also revealed they’ll be joined during the performance by Armand Van Helden, Boys Noize, Afrojack, MPH and Kelly Lee Owens. But today, just as the festival kicks off in Florida, the Swedes have stolen the headlines yet again by dropping a social post which also announces Eric Prydz. It will be the first time that the A-Lister has joined his fellow Scandinavians on stage since their original forming of Swedish House Mafia, back when Prydz himself was a member of the then-four-member group. Eric later decided to drop out for personal reasons, preferring to focus on his solo work, whilst Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso went on to become dance music’s ultimate behemoth.
Now, all these years later, we’re finally getting the reunion we all hoped for, in what is set to prove one of the most eagerly anticipated sets in electronic music history.
