Electronic music titans Martin Garrix and Alesso have released their long-awaited collaborative single, ‘Inside Our Hearts’, featuring Shaun Farrugia.
The track, which first debuted at Ultra Music Festival in Miami in 2023, is an uplifting and radiant progressive house anthem, highlighting why these two are some of the most celebrated acts in the genre. Since it’s first play, over two years ago, it’s been a highly anticipated release among fans, with both artists featuring it in their live sets globally. Most recently, the duo performed the track together during Alesso’s set at Ultra Music Festival Europe to officially announce its release.
The release of ‘Inside Our Hearts’ comes with more news from Garrix, who announced a new EP titled ORIGO, set to be released in September. ‘Inside Our Hearts’ will be featured on the upcoming EP. Garrix described the ORIGO project as “the final missing piece after Sentio and IDEM” representing a tribute to his roots and the end of a series of club-focused releases.
In a statement, Alesso shared, “After being very close friends for so many years, Martin and I have finally joined forces. We wanted to make a song that felt timeless. Inside Our Hearts features lyrics that are so meaningful to both of us.”
Both artists have had a busy year. Garrix recently performed three sold-out shows at the L.A. State Historic Park, a first for any artist, and has released several other collaborations. Alesso kicked off 2025 with the ‘Surrender’ with Becky Hill and has performed at major festivals including Coachella and EDC Las Vegas.
