Jackson Wang & Galantis Blend Styles On New Single ‘Pretty Please’

After a playful back and forth through Twitter, GOT7’s Jackson Wang and Galantis announced their collaboration and today we see the official release. The track arrives hot on the heels of another huge east and west collaboration, with Selena Gomez x Blackpink single ‘Ice Cream’. With the new release which arrives via 88 Rising, we can add this one as yet another creative US-Asian pairing.

Galantis isn’t the name you’d expect to see land a release on 88 Rising, but the unexpected pairing makes for an even more interesting combination. The dance duo had been rather quiet on the music front since the release of their Church album back in February. Now they’ve come back in style with this monster pop collaboration.

The track was first announced earlier this week and each day since the announcement saw Galantis and Jackson Wang counting down the days with a new piece of photo content building up an immense hype for the anticipated release. Each image shows Wang posing in several public locations in South Korea, in front of a local restaurant, leaning against a street light and more. These are now revealed as clips from the interesting and unique music video which takes inspiration from 90’s Chinese Hong Kong movies.

‘Pretty Please’ features Jackson Wang’s talented voice, layered on Galantis’ punchy and infectious dance production. The result is an excellent release that is sure to please fans of both artists and expand their audiences in new markets.
