Talkhouse Network has announced an exclusive podcast partnership with SubwayTakes, the popular talk show created by Kareem Rahma. As part of the partnership, SubwayTakes is launching its Uncut format, an extended video and audio experience that expands on the show’s signature style. This initiative marks the first step in developing a broader SubwayTakes multiverse with various podcast formats planned for the future. The first episode of SubwayTakes Uncut, featuring guest Hasan Minhaj, is now available on digital platforms.
Recognized by The New Yorker, Harper’s Bazaar, The Guardian, GQ, and other major publications, SubwayTakes Uncut maintains the show’s well-known format. Each episode begins with the signature “subway take,” in which guests present and defend a bold or unconventional opinion before engaging in a deeper conversation—all while riding the subway. The New York Times has praised the show, stating that it “routinely captures something the average internet hot take never does—an actual human being navigating the chaotic journey of a train of thought.”
The podcast has previously featured a diverse range of guests, including Olivia Wilde, Troye Sivan, Lil Nas X, Jane Goodall, Charli XCX, and many more. With its innovative format and growing list of high-profile guests, SubwayTakes continues to push the boundaries of thought-provoking, on-the-go conversations.
“We’ve long admired Kareem and Andrew [Kuo, Co-creator and Producer] for their sense of humor and tenaciousness,” says Talkhouse President Ian Wheeler. “We couldn’t be more excited to work with them to continue building on this amazing thing they’ve created.” On his new partnership with Talkhouse, Kareem Rahma adds: “I am excited to spend more time on the train.”
