Tiësto Concludes CLUBLIFE After 18 Years

After nearly two decades on the airwaves, electronic music icon Tiësto has officially brought his legendary radio show, Club Life, to a close. The Dutch superstar broadcast the final episode, number 978, in late December 2025, marking the end of an era for dance music fans worldwide who have tuned in weekly since its launch in April 2007.

“We are closing the CLUBLIFE era,” Tiësto explained. “I started with CLUBLIFE, the radio show, back in 2007. It has been 18 years, and all these years, we have seen a lot of artists bursting into the scene. Styles have changed through the years, and electronic music became bigger than ever and festivals grew into major events. I’m so grateful I can still play all over the world and meet new talented artists everywhere, and experience the everlasting, heartwarming connection with the crowds.”

The decision to conclude the show comes as Tiësto looks to shift his artistic focus. During the penultimate broadcast, he announced that the series would end not because of a lack of interest, but to make way for a “new creative chapter”. This sentiment was echoed in the finale, where he curated a nostalgic journey through the show’s history, playing thirty of the biggest anthems from the Club Life era. Listeners were treated to genre-defining classics such as Avicii’s ‘Levels’, Zedd’s ‘Clarity’, and Martin Garrix’s ‘Animals’, cementing the show’s legacy as a document of the golden age of EDM.

Industry insiders and fans have speculated that this move aligns with Tiësto’s recent return to his musical roots. Throughout 2025, the producer surprised audiences by playing trance-heavy sets at major festivals like Dreamstate SoCal and during a historic performance at the Great Pyramids of Giza. While Club Life famously chronicled his transition from trance to big-room house and pop-dance, its conclusion suggests he may be clearing the slate for a dedicated trance project or a new radio concept in 2026.

For eighteen years, Club Life served as a global ritual for millions, syndicating across hundreds of stations and breaking countless future hits. While the weekly mix has gone silent, Tiësto assured fans that this is not a retirement, but rather a necessary evolution. As the industry looks toward 2026, all eyes are on the Dutchman to see exactly what this new era will sound like.
