Lane 8 Returns with Highly Anticipated Collaborative Album ‘Cross Pollination II’

Deep and progressive house heavyweight Lane 8, the moniker of American producer Daniel Goldstein, has officially released his highly anticipated collaborative album, Cross Pollination II. The expansive 14-track project is out now via his flagship imprint, This Never Happened.

Serving as the direct successor to 2020’s critically acclaimed Cross Pollination, the new LP builds upon the project’s original blueprint of an album entirely comprised of collaborative efforts. The record unites Goldstein with a stellar line-up of established producers and rising stars from his label’s roster, trading solo production for a shared creative vision.

The rollout for the album began teasing fans earlier this year, with unique floral artwork accompanying a steady string of collaborative singles. The full tracklist reveals an immersive journey through melodic techno, ambient house, and emotional progressive rhythms.
Cross Pollination II marks a swift but massive creative pivot following his deeply personal 2024 solo studio album, Childish. Where that record focused on family and internal nostalgia, the new LP turns outward, positioning Lane 8 as a master curator and conductor.

The album features a diverse range of collaborators, including long-time peers and exciting new voices. Canadian duo Sultan + Shepard team up with sadHAPPY on the standout melodic anthem ‘Disappear’, while Swedish producer Kasbo joins forces with BJOERN to deliver the festival-ready ‘World Is Mine’ alongside its companion reprise. Robby East contributes the pristine instrumental ‘Penguin Parade’, and Massane links up with barking continues for the atmospheric closer, ‘Tripwires’. Other notable appearances on the project include pairings with Grigoré, Gui Boratto, Teho, PARIS, MYRNE, Quentin Quivera, Rae Morris, and Davey Havok.
