The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands & AURORA Unite As TOMORA To Release ‘COME CLOSER’ LP

Today marks the arrival of COME CLOSER, the debut album from TOMORA, a powerhouse collaboration between The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands and Norwegian art-pop visionary AURORA. Released via Capitol Records, the 12-track LP is the culmination of a creative partnership that bridges the gap between Rowlands’ kinetic electronic structures and AURORA’s ethereal, otherworldly sensibilities. Rowlands describes the project as ‘the music that we’ve been waiting to make’, an exploration of ‘the hardness with the soft, the ugly with the beautiful’.

Alongside the album release, the duo has shared their new track, ‘I DRINK THE LIGHT’. Described as a luminous and euphoric piece of electronic music, it serves as the emotional heart of a record that has quickly captured the imagination of the electronic community. Fans have been quick to champion the project’s unique energy, noting how the natural chemistry between the two artists creates a sound that feels both nostalgic and firmly rooted in the future. The duo’s ability to weave together intense bass beats with infectious vocal hooks has already made tracks like ‘RING THE ALARM’ and ‘SOMEWHERE ELSE’ standout favourites among listeners.

The release follows a successful run of debut live performances, beginning with a sold-out show at Manchester’s New Century Hall in late March. The duo has since taken their live show to California, performing underplay sets at The Regency Ballroom in San Francisco and the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles this week. Currently situated between their two Coachella 2026 appearances, TOMORA is set to return to the desert stage this Sunday, 19 April, for their second festival set.
