AlphaTheta has announced the launch of its new multi-player, the CDJ-3000X. The unit is an update to the CDJ-3000, adding new features related to connectivity, workflow, and performance.
The CDJ-3000X is equipped with built-in Wi-Fi, enabling direct connection to the internet for cloud-based music access. It supports rekordbox CloudDirectPlay and streaming services including Beatport and TIDAL. The unit also includes an NFC touchpoint for linking with smartphones to access online media, and a USB Type-C port for device connection.
The user interface features a 10.1-inch high-resolution touchscreen capable of displaying up to 16 tracks and allowing for on-screen playlist editing. A ‘Global Tag List’ feature is included to combine tagged tracks from USB, cloud, and streaming sources. New performance functions include ‘Smart Cue’ and ‘Gate Cue’. The jog wheels now offer an extended range of tension adjustment.
The audio hardware in the CDJ-3000X includes a new DAC from ESS Technology and a redesigned power supply. The unit’s construction features an aluminium top panel and updated play and cue buttons.
The AlphaTheta CDJ-3000X is compatible with both rekordbox and Serato DJ Pro and is available now. The unit is priced at $2,999USD (excluding tax).
