Emma Louise & Flume’s Collaborative Album ‘DUMB’ Arrives

The wait is over for one of Australia’s most exciting musical partnerships. The highly anticipated 10-track collaborative album, DUMB, from acclaimed artist Emma Louise and Grammy-winning producer Flume is out now. The album marks a significant creative milestone for the two longtime friends and collaborators.
Born from a series of studio sessions in the creative hub of northern New South Wales, where both artists reside, DUMB evolved from a single meeting into a complete, fully-realised project. The album was guided by a simple yet challenging mantra that became their North Star: “Make it dumb.” This philosophy pushed the duo to shed the pressures of overthinking and create a record rooted in instinct and immediate feeling.
The result is a project that sees two distinct artistic worlds collide in spectacular fashion. Co-written entirely by the pair, DUMB wraps Emma Louise’s intimate and evocative songwriting in the expansive, glitchy soundscapes that have made Flume a global icon. It’s a sonic landscape where vulnerability meets wide-screen electronic production, a testament to the powerful chemistry first hinted at in their previous collaboration on ‘Hollow’ from Flume’s 2022 album, Palaces. Speaking of that album, it’s the last time Flume has provided solo material, which fans are clamouring for. The good news is that he is confirmed to be working on a studio album.
