Madeon has today debuted his new era. Following his 2019 album Good Faith, he returned with a number of singles in the same vein. His new album rollout and sound starts today with ‘Hi!’.
Madeon held a public preview event in LA, where he teased the new era and has now followed up with the official release.
In quite a significant departure from his previous sound, Madeon presents a rock and punk sound with ‘Hi!’. Featuring his own vocals and production, the Frenchman delivers a 180 with his new sound.
The new sound has got to be polarising for fans, who may like him for his previous sounds. While there has been many drastic changes in Madeon’s career, they may not be as significant as this one. Even if ‘Hi!’ is a change, it does not mean that the rest of the project will align with the sound.
‘Hi!’ is a refreshing, interesting new take from Madeon, who has always been a pioneer in sound design and performances.
