Providing a mind-bending adventure for acid techno fans, Nate Mars and DIA LUNA have dropped their debut collaborative album, Out Of The City. Released on the imprint of Complex Dubz, this six-track compilation opens with “Inside”. The lead single opens with a psychedelic bassline accompanied by entrancing vocals for DIA LUNA. It is then followed by “¿You Are?”, which also encompasses passionate lyrics while weaving in celestial synths.
Throughout the rest of the album, each track offers unique soundscapes and contributes to the overall theme of Out Of The City. Speaking on working with DIA LUNA, Nate says, “when DIA LUNA and I got together for a few studio sessions, everything just clicked. We played several shows before the pandemic hit and saw how well everything works in a live environment when there’s real energy from a crowd.”
Closing with mesmerizing acid house, claps, and echoes from its title song, Out Of The City foreshadows the exciting road ahead for these two musical innovators. Nate and DIA LUNA are preparing to showcase the album live again with an upcoming series of shows.
