NGHTMRE Delivers With Sophomore LP ‘MINDFULL’

Three years after the universe-building of his debut DRMVRSE, Tyler Marenyi has returned not with another escape, but with a mirror. The LA-based producer known as NGHTMRE has crafted his sophomore album, MINDFULL, as a visceral, 14-track intervention for an age of digital anxiety. This is his artistic statement on grounding oneself amidst the chaos of the endless scroll.

The album’s title is its thesis. It’s a sonic antidote to our deeply complicated relationship with technology, designed to cut through the static with raw, unfiltered energy. Where many seek to provide an escape, NGHTMRE offers a tool for reclaiming mental space. Anchored by the standout single ‘Cyanide’ with Viperactive and JT Roach, the project is a call to action: disconnect from the internet-saturated world and reconnect with reality.

“After two years of building this concept I’m very proud to present my second album MINDFULL. This project is my most personal yet and is inspired from my personal experiences as an artist and a human. It’s about the internal battle of finding peace in a world that’s constantly fighting to grab your attention and bombard you with content from every direction. The album concept focuses on the juxtaposition of this battle: being online vs. offline. Information overload vs mental clarity. Mind Full vs mindful.

Music has always been a source of stillness and bliss amidst the chaos of life. MINDFULL is about following my creative inspiration and ignoring outside noise. I focused on listening to gut instincts in the studio no matter what direction it led me. I can’t wait for you to not only hear this album, but also experience it as I bring the vision to life on tour this fall.” – NGHTMRE

NGHTMRE’s versatility is on full display as he navigates a diverse range of bass styles throughout the record. He reignites his trap credentials alongside A$AP Ferg on ‘Torch’, plunges into relentless DnB with UK grime legend Flowdan on ‘Up Top’, and unloads pure filth with Crankdat on ‘Type Sh*t’. Yet, the album’s true heart lies beyond these festival-ready singles, with deeper cuts like the title track collaboration with Blanke revealing a profound depth. This sonic journey culminates in the album’s most direct message, the outro ‘Mindful’, where NGHTMRE himself speaks over a soothing production, laying the project’s concept bare and solidifying it as a cohesive, urgent statement.
