Through their new podcast, “Mysteries of the EuroVerse,” hosts Magnus Riise and Charlie Sohne are on a mission to build American familiarity with the competition, by delving deep into the pulsating realms of Eurovision. Every Wednesday, audiences will be taken on a three-part journey with special guests, complete with an education and dive into the history of Eurovision, background on the competition’s impact on global affairs, and a conversation on the relevance to the United States through a fun and lighthearted lens.

Magnus Riise, celebrated Norwegian-American recording artist best known for his EP “Until Tomorrow,” brings his unique perspective and love for music to the podcast. His collaborations with Eurovision competitors, VMA winners, and artists with millions of streams highlight his passion for innovation and expression within the entertainment industry, which is sure to be on display in each episode of the podcast.
Multi-faceted writer Charlie Sohne is a known expert on the geo-political nuances of Eurovision, with a piece on last year’s competition published in Politico. In addition to his recognition as a journalist, Sohne has been honored with the Jonathan Larson Award and the ASCAP’s Rodgers/Hart Award and written songs for Grammy Award winner India.Arie, Emmy Winner Billy Porter, and Tony Winner Lindsay Mendez. Within the podcast, his fascination with music, fandom, and politics all come to life.
