Of Monsters and Men have shared the second single off their upcoming album, Fever Dream, out July 26th. The multi-platinum Icelandic quintet will embark on a North American tour in support of Fever Dream in September.
“Wild Roses” presents a more upbeat, dance sound from the folk-rock band, with intimate vocals and lyrical influence from mythologist. “The song shows an introverted side to the album and is influenced by a bit of dance music and Joseph Campbell’s ‘The power of myth and what it is like to lean into your sadness,’” co-vocalist Nanna Hilmarsdóttir said in a statement.
The dance-pop track follows the leading single off the album, “Alligator”, which has just risen to No.1 on Billboard‘s Adult Alternative Songs airplay chart. Listen to the singles below:
