A Shooting Has Taken Place at Beyond Wonderland at The Gorge

UPDATE: Day 2 of Beyond Wonderland has been cancelled.

UPDATE: It’s being reported that two individuals have died.

A reported shooting occurred at the campgrounds at The Gorge in Washington, where Beyond Wonderland is currently taking place.

Reports have indicated that five individuals have been shot and the shooter is in custody. At this time, there is no danger anymore.

Individuals inside the festival say it has been locked down and no one is to leave or enter.

Beyond Wonderland make a statement on Twitter, seen below – calming those at The Gorge.

The incident happened around 8:40 p.m. on Saturday when police were called for an “active shooter” at the outdoor venue near Quincy in Grant County, about 113 miles southeast of Seattle.

“Active shooter at Gorge Amphitheater. If at the Gorge, seek cover,” the Grant County Sheriff’s Office said in an initial alert. “Run hide or fight the suspect if you encounter him.”

At 9:15 p.m., the sheriff’s office confirmed that the suspect had been taken into custody. “The incident took place in the camp ground NOT the concert venue,” the statement added.

The festival comes from Insomniac, who put together an incredible lineup as seen below. At this time there is no news on if the festival will continue as planned.

It’s time something is done about gun violence in American, enough is enough.
