Powered by AEMPD:  ‘heat.wav’ Event Brings the Heat to Eris Evolution on April 10 NYC

The Association for Electronic Music Professionals and DJs (AEMPD) is set to present an exclusive gathering named “heat.wav.” This event highlights AEMPD’s role as a pivotal organization, akin to a union for DJs, emphasizing collaboration, resource sharing, and professional development within the DJ community.

Set for April 10 at Eris Evolution, a New York venue known for its expansive 5,000 square feet of space and club-grade acoustics, heat.wav represents a pivot from the venue’s typical “open decks” Wednesday nights. The evening will feature a lineup of four distinguished DJs: RAGA, King Tutt, SurfingDJs, and Lovelydaze, each bringing their unique sounds to the fore. RAGA is known for his groovy deep house tracks, King Tutt for his eclectic mix of house, tech house, and Latin/afro house, SurfingDJs for their tech house and EDM blend with an 80s twist, and Lovelydaze for her mission to introduce UK garage to New York City audiences.

Behind AEMPD’s success are figures like Geoff Marcus, a veteran with over 15 years of engagement in the electronic music scene, and Jean-Francois Collard, alongside the SurfingDJs, who all bring their production and DJing expertise to bolster the organization’s initiatives. AEMPD’s strategy includes not only these meet-ups but also educational webinars covering essential topics such as social media management and audio mastering. These efforts are aimed at equipping DJs with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in the rapidly evolving music industry.

AEMPD’s establishment stems from a dedication to fostering a nurturing environment for DJs at various stages of their careers. Through events like heat.wav, AEMPD offers a platform for DJs to showcase their talents, engage with peers, and learn from one another. The organization’s approach to meet-ups, featuring performances and opportunities for DJs to earn stage time, has proven successful, drawing interest and participation from the community.

As AEMPD looks forward, it is clear that its commitment to enriching the DJ community and electronic music culture is unwavering. With initiatives like heat.wav and its educational programming, AEMPD is setting a new standard for professional development and collaboration among DJs – keep an eye on them for more to come in the future.
