Ben Shawaer appears as an enigmatic figure in the world of Electronic Music; ever mysterious in his portrayal of self, no one can really be sure of who lies behind this skilled Producer and DJ. However, today his manager joins us in this exclusive interview to share details about Ben Shawaer’s life outside of music, exposing parts of his ever-secret world in an attempt to uncover the intrigue surrounding him.
Hello! We want to know, how is Ben?
I think he’s a little sick at the moment, like a lot of people because of the seasonal chill. I think I even saw under-eye circles behind his glasses, which is rare!
Does Ben have any hobbies?
I don’t really know much about Ben Shawaer’s hobbies, but as it seems that some of his music is inspired by film or video game music, I do know that he watches films and play video games from time to time.
Can you tell us, what do you think is on his bucket list? Does he have any goals he wants to achieve?
On his list of things to do, there is making music, that’s for sure. I don’t really know his specific goals, as of today, but for some time now he has been releasing music publicly, so I know his goal is to share his passion with other human beings, and then from there, see what happens.
What do you think he would describe as his perfect weekend?
From what I know, Ben Shawaer seems to have a perfect weekend every weekend, making music and probably playing old video games, to take a break before making more music.
Films or series?
Both, I think. Even if the series allows for greater development of stories and characters, films remain interesting to him. Besides, I caught him going to the cinema to see the latest Indiana Jones film.
Where in the world do you think he would like to visit next?
It seems that Ben does not want to visit any place in the world. Rather, he should be the type to travel willingly but only if there is a purpose other than sightseeing.
Who do you think he would like to trade lives with for a day?
It would seem that, even in the hypothetical case where this is possible, there is no desire from him to exchange his life with someone else for a day, unless they are fictional characters; in which case, it would be certainly Indiana Jones or Marty McFly for one last adventure.
Do you think Ben is superstitious?
That’s an interesting question. Ben is not superstitious at all. He is also very down to earth and seems pragmatic, which may seem strange because it is not always associated with the image of what we have of a creative person.
Let’s say he starts a new career, non – music related, what do you think he would do?
That’s a very good question, based on what I know about his activities I would say that it would be designing video games.
Finally, which 3 items do you think he would take if stranded on a desert island?
Knowing his pragmatic side, I would say that he would take things to survive and then return to civilization as quickly as possible. So, I would say a fire steel, a knife and an antiseptic product. But also knowing his clumsy side, I think he would rather find himself on the island without these objects, telling himself that this is what he should have taken.
