This year, Neiman steps into another sphere, intertwining his gift for visual storytelling with a deeply personal narrative. His debut photography book, “i want to rest and be held by someone who loves me,” is a raw, unvarnished exploration of his journey through addiction, sobriety, depression, and gender dysphoria. Shot through the intimate lens of film photography, the images span from Neiman’s adolescence into his early thirties.
In a bold and innovative stylistic choice, portions of the book are penned in the second person, fostering an empathetic space for readers to step into Neiman’s shoes.
