Destructo Tells Us What To Expect This Year At ALL MY FRIENDS Festival

The ALL MY FRIENDS Festival is nearly upon us! On October 19th & 20th, house-heads and lovers will make their way to invade the Downtown Los Angeles area. In good faith, of course, awaiting them is the 2nd installment of Gary Richards AKA Destructo’s flagship festival. Always a talent for keeping his ear to the soil, there really is no denying the tastemakers curating abilities. That’s exactly why many are stoked about the lineup billed before them.

Coming to the ALL MY FRIENDS festival you can anticipate performances from JUSTICE, Diplo, Black Coffee, Destructo, VOLAC, Dillon Nathaniel, and many more. Laying down the grooves for a full weekend of festivities, the vibes and attractions should leave attendees with a strong impression and memories to take home.

With the spectacle going in for just its second year, many ticket holders have questions. Frequently asked questions come and go so we’ve taken it upon ourselves to ask the head honcho in charge to give us a quick rundown on what to expect this weekend at ALLMYFRIENDS Festival.

Why should people come to ALL MY FRIENDS Festival this year?

This year All My Friends Music Festival is returning to DTLA for round two. The focus is around the party being 21+ this year instead of 18+ which means you can freely roam with your alcohol. We’ve put extra effort into creating a comfortable space where you can cut loose and party with all your friends. There will be two stages of music and 20+ DJs which I curated myself, hand picked! Look for even more surprises in the works. The lineup includes headline performances from Justice, Black Coffee, Idris Elba, Diplo b2b MK and so many more. You’ll have to come see it all for yourself…

We are located right downtown with a finely curated lineup of some of the best in electronic music. Easy to get to and it’s a one-of-a-kind urban setting with Skylight ROW DTLA.   It’s the only place you can party right underneath the old American Apparel logo ‘Made In LA.’ It might be the stage placement and intimate vibe we plan to create at each one. Come party at The Friendzone stage… or walk over to the BFF stage…. Or simply walk around. Each space will have a unique vibe.

I would say arrive early. The music is going to be incredible from start to finish, especially with the newer talents bringing unprecedented heat.

I am a personal fan of the whole lineup. They are quite literally All My Friends. If I had to single some out, I would say don’t miss Shift K3y, Wongo, or Dillon Nathaniel.  Super excited to have Bruno Furlan and El Capo.  You won’t get to see these guys so early on in their career in this kind of environment.

I wanted to take things back to what it’s all about. A lineup that’s going to flow from start to finish with a specific vibe in mind each day. On day one, we’re highlighting a lot more of the new breed, of course with the legendary Justice topping the bill. Day 2 features a ton of the real OGs who have been in the game a long time especially a rare b2b between Diplo and MK. Over-all I wanted to keep this lineup fun, but weave in the theme of house music all the way through. Quite different from last year, but in all the best ways. I can not wait for everyone to take in the tunes.

What should attendees expect coming into the 2nd edition of the festival?

Expect a more refined space. We took a lot of feedback from last year and implemented it thoroughly with a few twists and surprises involved. Expect incredible music all the way through, and a vibe that allows you to cut loose and be yourself. Don’t sleep on the tacos, have a drink, use rideshare, and meet new friends.  This is a place for friends to come together for the love of music and the party.
