Doctor Neiman Returns To Circus Records in ‘Play Nice’

“Play Nice,” marks the return of Doctor Neiman since his late June release, “men.,” which released on Play Me Records. As we’ve heard in graphic detail, Doctor Neiman embraces a colorful spectrum of bass in the music he releases. “Play Nice,” featuring vocalist Sister Teeth, fits right in for multiple reasons. The flow starts out mystifying, a quiet four-chord melody platforming the dramatic vocals with a feisty message. The build up begins to do it’s work as the vocals intensify, the words “..baby, I don’t play nice.” has a brief solo moment, all effects and samples disappear. The next second, a melodic drop lands it’s punch, swallowing the vocals and making it fuse with it’s structure. Pounding drums exasperate the controlled chaos having it’s way, the moment transitioning to the bridge, another verse, then an extended drop this time with more heavier trap influences and more technicality within.

2021 has been a break out year for the seasoned electronic artist. He launched the alias only in January of this year and hasn’t had the need to self release in the least. NCS, Play Me Records, and Circus Records have all signed his music since January, allowing him to have a flow of about 1 release a month from January to June.

“Play Nice,” goes right to the heart of what Doctor Neiman is about. Rough around the edges, filled with bass, and a smooth flow going on altogether, the single is another fruitful extension of a visionary project.
