Alex and Jacob’s musical partnership extends beyond ‘Good Life’ to their collaboration on multiple tracks from Elderbrook’s second album, ‘Why Do We Shake In The Cold’, which includes the popular song “Numb.” Their bond was forged through a mutual appreciation for artists bridging the realms of indie and electronic music, such as Empire of the Sun, Miike Snow, Fleet Foxes, and MGMT. During their recording sessions in a home studio located in Laurel Canyon, they ventured into combining electronic elements with more traditional, organic sounds, resulting in a collection of demos that eventually evolved into the creation of “Good Life.”
