Dance Fuses With Rock Via Fairlane And Silverstein’s ‘Take It Back’ Collaboration On Monstercat

Tyler Mead, better known in the music world as Fairlane, is making waves straight from Canada with his innovative blend of DJ skills and guitar chops. He’s now joined forces with the legendary rock band Silverstein to drop a groundbreaking track, “Take It Back,” which is set to shake up the dubstep scene. Set to release through Monstercat Uncaged on January 26, this collaboration is all about breaking the mold and redefining what music can be. There’s even a viral moment where Fairlane rocked “Take It Back” live, stirring up so much excitement that it led to a venue rail breaking.

Drawing inspiration from the punk rock vibes of the early 2000s, Fairlane has crafted “Take It Back” to perfectly suit the raw voice of Silverstein’s Shane Told. The song kicks off with a seamless mix of synths, setting the stage for Shane’s heartfelt vocals. The track explores themes of regret with Shane belting out “I can’t take it back,” before diving into a gripping melodic bass drop. As the song progresses, Shane’s screams ramp up the intensity, leading to a powerful dubstep finale that’s bound to get everyone jumping.

The collaboration took a significant step forward when Fairlane and Silverstein’s producer, Sam Guaiana, met up in Los Angeles. They fine-tuned the track, added fresh parts, and infused it with deep, meaningful lyrics that touch on the irreversible nature of our actions and the shadows they can cast, highlighted by an anti-suicide message.

Fairlane’s journey has been remarkable, from remixing hits for Rihanna and Ava Max to collaborating with big names like SLANDER and Vanic, and amassing a huge online following. His talent shines through in his live performances, having toured with the likes of ILLENIUM, Gryffin, and Wooli.

Silverstein has left an indelible mark on the rock scene, thrilling audiences across the globe and recently adding to their discography with the deluxe edition of their tenth studio album, “Misery Made Me.”
