[LIVE] Swedish House Mafia & The Weeknd Perform Together At Coachella

Closing out weekend one of Coachella, Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd performed together for the first time. Replacing Kanye West, the new found group was announced just a number of weeks ago.

Just days ago on Friday, Swedish House Mafia released their long awaited Paradise Again and today played elements of the new LP, their older material and of course linking with what The Weeknd brought.

Being under the same management team, and recently doing three records together, Swedish House Mafia and The Weeknd teaming up for a performance does make sense. Steve Angello even mentioned they originally planned to bring out The Weeknd in their original Friday night set.

The four artists have been hard at work crafting their performance and have teased their amazing and custom set ups – with Swedish House Mafia’s designer stating it would be the largest ever stage sculpture at Coachella.

In order to prep for the performance, The Weeknd had to pause production on his current HBO tv show ‘The Idol’.
