Sherm Joins DJ Susan, Anabel Englund & More for Hood Politics MMW Showcase Paired With ‘MMW Sampler Compilation’

DJ Mag and Beatport recognized Chicago-based Sherm as a notable emerging artist. In 2024, he marked significant milestones: his first Reddit AMA and his role in Steve Aoki’s “Toxic” tour finale at District Atlanta. Sherm’s upcoming performance at the Hood Politics MMW Showcase in Miami on March 22, alongside DJ Susan and Anabel Englund, underlines his dynamic presence in the scene.

His new single, “Suddenly,” showcases Sherm’s adeptness in blending house and techno, offering a mix of engaging rhythms, hypnotic melodies, and solid bass. This track exemplifies his creative evolution and willingness to experiment, highlighted by distinctive vocals and a compelling bassline. Sherm described the track’s development: “Over the past 6 months, I’ve just totally let loose in the studio and stopped worrying so much about being perfect. “Suddenly” is an evolution of my sound and you can tell right away that I most definitely let loose. The trippy vocals, rolling bassline and buildup of energy is what makes this track stand out. For DJs, you can’t help but play it out and for fans, you can’t help but hit rewind. Simply put, this is an absolute BANGER and I urge you to listen all the way through!”

Following his 2023 closure with Zedd’s NYE event and participation in ADE’s panel, Sherm continues to excel. His “Toxic” tour, supporting acts like Imanbek and San Pacho, showcases his rising profile. With upcoming gigs, including an Ogden Theatre show with Dombresky and a headlining spot in Phoenix, Sherm’s influence grows.

Sherm’s journey from launching the “Sherm In The Booth” podcast to securing prime bookings at Lollapalooza and beyond with top artists, solidifies his standing in the electronic music domain, making waves in Chicago and internationally.
