Lauren Salvo, widely known as Salvo, puts music enthusiasts in a trance with her emotional and compelling vocals. Delivering a brand new single to her audience, Salvo has collabed with acclaimed producer Henri Werner to create “Ruins”. Talking about the inner workings of the track, Salvo says, “’Ruins’ is one of the first songs I’m releasing in which I had full artistic direction. I’ve been a topliner and feature artist for five-plus years, always writing vocals for others and catering to their ideas in dance music and EDM, and I love doing that! Based on Salvo’s personal hardships, the lyrics in “Ruins” are centered around freeing herself from an abusive relationship that she was holding on to. Starting out as an acoustic song, Salvo held a contest to produce a different rendition of her masterpiece, which was won by German artist Henri Werner.
The independent release will be hosted by electronic music and technology pioneer 3LAU’s Royal.io, an innovative royalty investment program. “Ruins” will be joined by the projects of renowned performers Diplo and Tritonal. Its vocals are deeply sentimental and perfectly balanced with Werner’s melodic sound design.
