Steve Aoki Reinvigorates George Benson’s ‘Give Me The Night’

Dim Mak’s fresh new label GOOD ONE finds it’s second release from the label owner himself Steve Aoki. Aoki re-imagines George Benson’s 1980 classic ‘Give Me The Night’ with a banging new house beat.

“Getting the chance to reimagine such a classic track as ‘Give Me the Night’ with the legend George Benson has been really exciting. My father & George were friends, so when this opportunity came about, it was full circle for me to be able to create a club version putting my own spin on it. And releasing it as the second release on A GOOD ONE, Dim Mak’s house imprint, was the perfect way to get the label going.” – Steve Aoki

Upon the originals release, the track shook dance floors across the world, catapulting to #1 on the US Billboard Soul Singles chart, #4 on the US Billboard Hot 100, #2 on the Billboard Hot Disco Singles Chart and #7 on the UK Singles Chart, ultimately leading to Benson’s Grammy Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance.

Steve Aoki provides a more upbeat version of the track, taking the vocal and overlaying it on a solid and hearty instrumental. It is a great way to accelerate the launch of the A GOOD ONE imprint.
