Swedish House Mafia Leave Columbia Records and Patriot Management

After signing to Columbia in February of 2019, Swedish House Mafia have left, even with a reported label deal of over $3 Million. With no music to appear since the deals inception, them leaving my add credibility that there is new music on the horizon.

According to Billboard, the Swedes are said to have also left their manager, Ron Laffitte from Patriot Management. They joined Laffitte after parting ways with longtime manager Amy Thomson in 2019.

The reunion road back for Swedish House Mafia has not gone swimmingly, with a handful of cancelled shows and no new music, many fans have been disappointed. Recent news of the trio in the studio and back to a sense of normality has riled the fan base back up however.

Swedish House Mafia have a number of records that are ready, such as ‘It Gets Better’ and ‘Underneath It All’. With some teases for an EP being posted from SHM staff, that would an incredible way to reintroduce SHM’s music to the world.

Leaving Colombia is highly likely to be a sign that music is in the works. With independent musical freedom, we cannot wait to hear what the talented guys have cooked up in the studio, hopefully not too long now…
