Teset Brings Lo-Fi/Ambient Sound To Full-Bloom In ‘Egress’ Album

The album Egress comes as Teset’s debut, an extensive window into the world of the not-so-revealing artist. The strategy was to share each track off the album as singles, acting out a waterfall strategy which uncovered the album bit by bit. The idea played out as a positive, with some of the releases capturing playlisting by Spotify editors and thus receiving millions of plays – a moment to cherish undoubtedly and something that is sort of a right of passage in today’s modern digital music era.

Although the album was able to be heard nearly in-full given the single being out, a certain impression is delivered when the track order is set and the flow of what’s at hand is heard in the way the artist intended.

Track’s like “Spillbase,” shows off a more hopeful, adventurous mood to the listener, while vibes like the most successful single off the album, “Muckbirth,” shape a more neutral, open-to-interpretation theme that different listeners may have a different take on it, considering their individual walk in life.

Yet, the entirety of what is at hand in Egress gives a sense of completion and contentment. The journey best felt when started at the beginning and heard through until the end.

Teset is going places and Egress is the first iteration as to why.
