black a.m. Returns With Tribute To Frankie Knuckles In New Single

A dream tour in the palm of his hands, multi-talented DJ/producer Sinclair Wheeler, aka black a.m., won’t let anything slow down his music dreams and the roll he was just on – including a pandemic. In 2020, black a.m. was invited by his buddy NGHTMRE to join him on The Portal Tour, a massive North America tour that includes many show locations to play in a single week.

Now he’s back and he’s got music that not only puts a forward thinking spin on house music, but pays a respectable tribute to the late house legend Frankie Knuckles. Via “T.S.O.F.H,” an entrancing house beat and a thumping bassline provide an euphoric backdrop to a trusting and familiar voice. The single pulls an interview of Frankie Knuckles and organically blends it in with the instrumental aspects of black a.m.’s song. The fusion here hits the spot and showcases the creative prowess of the solo musician.

Credits including being MGK’s touring guitarist to having music signed to Ultra Music, black a.m. seems to do all parts of the success spectrum correct and then some – the sound, look, live audience demand, and music colleague network all being a strong win and all these parts working in harmony together.

black a.m.’s “T.S.O.F.H. (The Story of Frankie’s House)” can be heard in full below.
