Above and Beyond Release New Single ‘Angry JP8’ As They Head Toward The Release Of ‘Tranquility Base’ EP

Following the sold-out celebration of their ABGT 500 event, Above & Beyond has been relatively quiet on the release front, but not without good reason. While Paavo was busy exploring the sounds of his new P.O.S alias, the trio has been hard at work revitalizing an old alias from their past. Today, they have finally revealed the fruits of their labor with the release of “Angry JP8,” a brand new single from Tranquility Base. The announcement also included the exciting news that the first volume of the self-titled EP series is set to arrive on May 25th.

With “Angry JP8,” Above & Beyond has breathed new life into the Tranquility Base legacy, delivering a soundscape that will undoubtedly rock dancefloors to their very core. The track is infused with nostalgia, calling back to the project’s roots and reminding fans of what made the music so special in the first place. Overall, “Angry JP8” serves as a testament to the enduring appeal of instrumental music and the power that it holds to move people both emotionally and physically.

The Tranquility Base project, which has always been focused on instrumental music, first made its debut back in 2001 with the captivating sound of “Razorfish.” Since then, the project has continued to evolve with releases like “Surrender,” “Getting Away,” “Oceanic,” and “Buzz.” The trio has also enlisted the help of talented artists like Aspekt, Super8 & Tab, and Jerome Isma-Ae, among others, to put their own unique spin on selected tracks, resulting in a plethora of remixes that have contributed to the project’s rich history.
